ABOUT ME
Originally from New Zealand, Ben Hemara has been based in North Vancouver since 2011. With proud Maori heritage, his upbringing nurtured a deep connection to the art of wood carving, igniting his passion for the craft. Feeling that traditional hand carving was too time-intensive, Ben explored alternative approaches, eventually discovering his talent in chainsaw carving. Now, with nearly a decade of experience, Ben has become known for his custom sculptures, creating unique pieces for clients across Canada and drawing inspiration from the wildlife of British Columbia to bring his creations to life.
